Chumash Shemos starts the beginning of the Jewish enslavement. The midwives were commanded by Pharaoh to kill all of the Jewish boys. When Moshe was born, he was put in a basket and left on the banks of the river. Basya – the daughter of Pharaoh – saw the basket and rescued him.
As Moshe grew he identified with the Jewish people and tried to help them, eventually forcing him to flee to Midian. There he meets and marries Tzipporah the daughter of Yisro and is commanded by Hashem to return to Egypt and demand that Pharaoh let the Jewish people leave.

To represent Moshe in the basket on the river we made little cookie baskets covered in fruit roll-up (as the basket was specially made) with a baby bear and pacifier.
