This weeks parsha discusses many different laws. One of them is that a man is responsible for digging or uncovering an open pit and would be held liable for damage the pit may cause (ie. if an animal falls in).<\/p>\n

We made a bundt cake which has an open hole in the center
\n\"mishpatimsm2\"<\/a>
\n\u05de\u05e9\u05e4\u05d8\u05d9\u05dd \u05db\u05d0:\u05dc\u05d2<\/strong>
\nMishpatim 21:33<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nYou can use your favorite bundt cake recipe, we used the this lemon custard one:\n<\/div>\n
\n
\nCustard Filling –
\n1\/2 c sugar
\n1\/4 c cornstarch
\n1\/4 tsp salt
\n2 egg yolks
\n3\/4 c cold water
\n1\/3 c lemon juice
\n2 Tbsp margarine
\nMix first 5 ingredients until smooth, then slowly bring to a boil on medium flame. Keep on stirring until it starts to thicken.
\nRemove from the fire and add the last 2 ingredients, mix well then cool<\/p>\n

Cake –
\n5 Tbsp graham cracker crumbs
\n1 1\/2 c sugar
\n2\/3 c shortening
\n3 eggs
\n1 Tbsp grated lemon rind
\n2 c flour
\ndash of salt
\n1 tsp baking powder
\n2\/3 c non-dairy creamer
\n1 Tbsp lemon juice
\nCream sugar and shortening, then add one egg at a time. Beat well, then add the lemon rind, flour, salt, baking powder, creamer and lemon juice and blend on low until mixed in.
\nGrease pan well and sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs, pour in the batter, then make a ring around the center with the lemon filling and cover with graham cracker crumbs.
\nBake at 375 for about 40 min.
\nCool before removing from pan.\n<\/p><\/div>\n
