The end of Parshas Shelach discusses the mitzvah of tzitzis. We are commanded to add strings to the corners of all four cornered garments which we wear to remind us of all of the miztvos.
1- Make a batch of sugar cookie dough. We used the following recipe because it does not have baking powder so it doesn\’t spread and lose its shape.
Sugar Cookies
1 c sugar
1 c shortening
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
3 c flour
Combine all ingredients and mix well, refrigerate for 20 min then roll out, cut shapes, and bake in pre-heated oven at 375 for 10 min

2- Cut squares with a semi-circle out of the top, then bake.
3- Make white icing using powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, and water. Ice cookies.
4- Add a bit of cocoa to some of the icing and pipe the brown horizontal lines.
5- Poke holes with a toothpick and string string through them.
