Parshas Vayeishev discusses how the shevatim saw that Yosef was the favorite of Yaacov and were jealous of him because of it. They hated him even more when he told them of the two dreams he had which indicated that he would rule over them. Later when Yosef goes to look for this brothers who were out in the dessert, they throw him into a pit hoping he would die. They later remove him and sell him to Arabs heading to Mitzrayim.
We made Yosef in the “pit”.
Orange Loaf Cake
3 3/4 c flour

1 Tbsp baking powder
2 sticks margarine
1 tsp salt
1 c orange juice
2 Tbsp orange rind
4 eggs
We used a mini bundt cake pan to make these small pits, you can use a regular bundt cake pan to make it in large.
Bake at 350 for about an hour (depends on what size you make)
