In Parshas Ki Seitzei the mitzvah of Shiluach Hakan is told to us. One must send away the mother bird before taking her young birds or eggs away.
We made eggs in a nest (the mother bird has already been sent away) to represent this mitzvah.
1- To make the nest we used the peanut butter rice krispie treat recipe with thin/stick chow-mein noodles instead of rice krispies. We used an upside down cupcake tray to form the rounded nest.
1 c sugar
1 c corn syrup
1 c peanut butter
Boil all ingredients together until a liquid forms. Pour over one bag of thin chow-mein noodles and coat well.

2- We placed different colored jelly beans inside the “nests” for the eggs.
