Parshas Devarim discusses a number of incidents where nations fought wars against giants and prevailed over them in order to take over lands which Hashem intended for them. The Beni Yisroel fought against mighty armies and giants and prevailed. The victories are specified to help us realize and appreciate the greatness of the many miracles that were performed for us. One of the great miracles was the conquering of the kingdom of Og the giant.
We made cookies to represent the great battle with Og.

1- We used our standard sugar cookie recipe and using larger and smaller people shaped cookie cutters created the different size men.
Sugar Cookies
1 c sugar
1 c shortening
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
3 c flour
Combine all ingredients and mix well, refrigerate for 20 min then roll out, cut shapes, and bake in pre-heated oven at 375 for 10 min

2- We used mini-colored chocolate chips and regular chocolate chips to make a face on the large cookie. Feel free to use your creativity.
