Parshas Ki Sisa starts with the Moshe being commanded about Machatzis Hashekel. The Machatzis Hashekel was collected from each male over the age of 20. One of the purposes of this collection was to take a census.
We made mint-chocolate coins for dessert to represent them.

Ki Sisa 30:11
1- We used round chocolate molds to make the chocolate mints
Chocolate:
2 Tbs oil
1 C chocolate chips
2 Tbs oil
1 C chocolate chips
Mint:
1/3 C corn syrup
2/3 stick margarine
1lb confectioneries sugar
6 tsp mint extract
Melt the chocolate and spread a thin layer into the molds, once hard add the mint mixture on top of the chocolate then the final layer of chocolate melted on top.
2- We used white gel icing to write the “1/2” on the chocolate coins
